Christmas 1978 "Heavenly Trio" by Sister Berta Hummel. EIGHTH LIMITED EDITION.  "It is based on an original wood block created by Sister Berta Hummel and used for her 1928 Christmas card. Each of the three angels has his own offering for the Christ child-music, light and gifts. . ."  This series by Schmid Bros. is one of the most famous and widely collected plate series of all time. The plate rim is pierced for hanging. It is 7-1/2" in diameter.  Excellent condition. MSRP $35.00, OUR PRICE $9.00

Christmas 1979 "Starlight Angel" by  Sister Berta Hummel  NINTH LIMITED EDITION. "Cool and timeless, the stars flicker an unending message of tranquility to us particularly at Christmas time. Berta captures this sense of serenity…"  Schmid Christmas Series. It is 71/2"  in diameter, the plate rim is pierced for hanging and includes the presentation box. Excellent condition. "A Time to Remember" by Berta Hummel Christmas 1981. ELEVENTH LIMITED EDITION. "One of the most revered Bavarian Christmas traditions is searching for the family Christmas tree.  In this scene, a young Adolf, the late artist's brother guides his sisters and brothers through the forest on his homemade sleigh in quest of a tree to brighten the family sitting room . . . "  (from plates reverse) 71/2" dia., plate rim pierced for hanging, in presentation box. Includes Certificate of Authenticity and a pamphlet entitled Schmid Presents Schmid Collectibles, inspired by the art of Berta Hummel - 1981 Editions. "Angelic Procession" - Inspired by Berta Hummel - Christmas 1982 -TWELTH LIMITED EDITION. "With a candle held high, a fanciful angel leads a musical procession in celebration of the Christmas season.  Berta Hummel created "Angelic Procession "as she remembered . . . ".  This plate has a pierced rim for hanging, is in the presentation box, has the Certificate of  Authenticity with pamphlet - Schmid presents Fine Collectibles inspired by Berta Hummel1982 and a Schmid gift card.  Excellent condition. "Angelic Messenger"- inspired by Berta Hummel - Christmas 1983 - THIRTEENTH LIMITED EDITION. "Her song is a message of joy, sung from a cloud.  The light of the stars seems almost as far away as her bright halo, but her song can be heard throughout the world on Christmas Day. . . ." This plate has a pierced rim for hanging, it is in the presentation box and is in excellent condition. MSRP $45.00, OUR PRICE $12.00

"Cheerful Cherubs" - inspired by Berta Hummel - Christmas 1988 - EIGHTEENTH LIMITED EDITION. "What better gift this season than to have two cheerful cherubs watching over us! These wee angels spread their happiness to us all with both mischievous and loving delight." This plate has a pierced rim for hanging, is in its presentation box and  Certificate of Authenticity. It is in excellent condition.  7 3/4"  dia. There is a sales receipt with it from 1988 which indicates that the price was $52.50. One website indicates that the MSRP price was $125.00 and has one that it is selling for $79.95. OUR PRICE $16.00

"Heavenly Light" - inspired by Berta Hummel - Christmas 1985. FIFTEENTH LIMITED EDITION. "Welcome small angel of Christmas!  Angel who lights a path from heaven to earth, making way to announce the joyous event. . . . ."   This plate has a pierced rim for hanging, is in the presentation box and has the Certificate of Authenticity. There is, also, a card entitled Schmid Celebrates An Annual Tradition - 1985 -  Mother's Day and Christmas Annual Series-Inspired by the Art of Berta Hummel.   Inside it has information about the 1985 series and the list prices of all of the year's pieces.  List price $45.00, OUR PRICE  $12.00

Lefton China hand painted yellow roses collector plate. There is a thin gold gilding around the scallloped edge. The back is stamped: Lefton China, a crown, hand painted, Reg. U S Pat. Off and has a pattern number NE2513. It measures approx 8-1/4" in diameter. There are two holes on the reverse for hanging. It is very decorative. Please feel free to request additional photos. Whispering Memories by Alan Murray. This plate is the third edition of the Little Misses Young and Fair series made by Ernst (making fine art affordable). It is limited in edition to 29,000, then permanently closed forever. Plate #2398/29,000 - 8 1/2" in diameter - gold rim. OUR PRICE: $30.

A Surprise for Granddad collector's plate by Robert Hersey. An edition limited to 75 firing days by the Danbury Mint. 1991 - 8 1/4" diameter, gold rim - beautiful plate. OUR PRICE: $15.

"A Young Girls Dream" by Norman Rockwell, 1985. First issue in "Rockwell's American Dream." Back reads "This is the First Collector's Plate Series selected and approved by the Norman Rockwell Family Trust and granted its seal of approval and authentication." A Young Girls Dream" was painted by Norman Rockwell in 1930. It is made in fine Knowles china in an edition strictly limited to 150 firing days, and certified as a true Rockwell classic by the Rockwell Society of America." Inscribed by his son, Thomas, on the reverse of this plate are these words: "In her face my father painted the hope and courage that are an essential part of the American Dream." Bradex Np. 84-R70-7.1   8 3/8" in diameter - gold rim and nice border - includes the original box (looking quite old and watermarked). OUR PRICE: $18.

8" plate vintage hand painted by Y. Funabashi. Some imperfections and very small bubbles in the glaze. Believed to be from the 1940's/50's. Very decorative. OUR PRICE: $10.

A nice quality vintage collector plate by Peter Barrett. This plate is made of fine Franklin porcelain, a division of The Franklin Mint. It has a border of 24k gold which is approximately 1/8" wide. This calendar month plate is a Limited Edition and also a Signature Edition. Each plate in this collection features a woodland background scene with a different animal for each month of the year. Plate is in EXCELLENT condition with no chips or repairs. An excellent addition to any collection. Includes original box and packaging and includes a story card. Research:  We have found this plate to sell on Replacements.com for $49.99 with no box and a suggested retail price of $58. We have found a complete set of 12 selling for $559 on ebay and from a private party (without boxes) for $150 for the same set. OUR PRICE: $20.

"Warm Retreat" by Hannah Hollister Ingmire. Edwin M. Knowles China Co. Second Issue in the Cozy Country Corners collector's plate issue. Issue date 1990. Measuring 8 1/2" in diameter. Plate #9391A Bradex # 84-K41-102.2 Strictly limited to a maximum of 150 firing days. Very decorative. Issue price was $28. OUR PRICE: $14.

"Dreaming in the Attic" by Norman Rockwell. This is the first issue in the Rockwell's Rediscovered Women collection made in an edition strictly limited to one hundred firing days and certified as a "True Rockwell Classic" by the Rockwell Society of America Plate. Number #13858AR, no box. 8 1/4" dia., in excellent condition. Produced by the Edwin M. Knowles China Co. in 1981. MSRP $30. OUR PRICE: $18.

"Spring Bouquet," the 1983 Mother's Day Plate inspired by the artist, Berta Hummel. This is the Twelfth Edition in the Mother's Day series by Schmid of W. Germany. The plate measures 7 3/4"dia. and comes in the original box (that has one tear on one of the edges (approx 1" x 2"). It also comes with certificate of authenticity, a brochure describing the 1983 Mother's Day and Christmas Annual Series, and registration card. It has the original price tag of $45. (reduced to $40.) on the reverse. Plate has two holes on the reverse for hanging. Please feel free to request additional photos. OUR PRICE: $25.

"Gossiping in the Alcove" by Norman Rockwell. This is the sixth issue in the Rockwell's Rediscovered Women collection made in an edition strictly limited to one hundred fifty firing days, and certified as a "TRUE ROCKWELL CLASSIC" by the Rockwell Society of America. It was produced by the Edwin M. Knowles China Co. in 1983. The plate is numbered #5378N. There is no box, it is in excellent condition and measures 8 1/2" dia. MSRP was $35. OUR PRICE: $15.

1981 Wedgwood Plate - Be My Friend. Plate measures 8" in dia. Back reads: First issues in a series entitled in the "My Memories" by Mary Vickers. Made in England in Wedgwood Queen's Ware. This is plate number 6203E in an edition limited to, and permanently closed at the end of, the prescribed 100-day firing period in the year of 1981. No box or certificate of authenticity. 1985 French Limoge Plate - Patinage au Troadero (Skating at the Trocadero). Measures approx. 8.5" in dia.. Made by Porcelaine de limoges-Turgot of France. This is the first issue in the Children of the Turn of the Century (Les Enfants de la Fin du Siecle) by artist Bernard Peltriaux. The back says Premiere edition is number AE 761. 1983 Wedgwood collectors plate. The back of this plate reads: "OUR GARDEN". Third issue in a series entitled My Memories by Mary Vickers. Made in England in Wedgwood Queen's Ware. This is plate number 2370B in an edition limited to, and permanently closed at the end of, the prescribed 100-day firing period in the year of 1983, Bradex 26-W90-5.3. Lena Liu's Hummingbird Treasury collection. 1992. W.L. George fine china "The Ruby-throated Hummingbird." This is the first issue in the collection. It is "crafted in fine porcelain from an original work painted on silk and issued in an edition strictly limited to a maximum of 150 firing days." The plate is numbered 132S8W Bradex #84-G20-71.1  The plate measures approx. 7-3/4" in diameter. Plate only - no box or certificate of authenticity. Please feel free to request additional photos. 1982 Little Jack Horner collectors plate. It is from the Mother Goose Series by John McClelland. This is the fourth issue in the series. The no. on the plate looks to be 14703C (the 3rd number is difficult to read). Reverse of plate also reads: "painted expressly for this single edition by the artist in an exclusive Limited Edition permanently closed in the year of 1982. Made in U.S.A.
